What Are Groups?
Community, Growth, Influence
At Stonegate we believe that you were not created to live and do life alone, but were created to share life with friends, walking with Christ together. We are committed to helping you connect to other people and live in community. In addition to community, we are also committed to helping you grow as a follower of Christ. We want to help you achieve intentional and measurable growth by providing clear spiritual growth steps for you to take, one at a time. Moreover, we are convinced that the calling of every follower of Christ is to live a life of influence. We are called to help others find Christ. We are committed to helping you take the next steps towards living a life of greater influence in the church, in the community and in the world. Stonegate Groups are a great way to experience community, take intentional steps towards growth, and live a life of influence.
Group Types
COM.groups
These are home-based groups meeting twice a month for each semester. Because of the variety of groups, you will be able to base your group choice on where you live, if you are married or single, how old your kids are, which study you’re interested in, and which day of the week is best for you to meet. COM groups are a safe place to meet new people, make friends, grow in faith and have fun.
Growth Groups
These study based groups meet on a weekly basis for each semester usually in a classroom setting. The group you choose may be based on the study offered or the times it will be offered. You will be able to choose from Sunday mornings, weeknights or weekday mornings. Childcare is offered on campus during these classes.
LifeWorks Groups
These groups take specific life situations and help us apply biblical principles to them. It is discipleship applied to specific areas of our personal lives. Classes and support groups are in place for those impacted by divorce, blended family relationships, marriage issues, financial struggles and substance abuse.
Interest (Affinity) Groups
Affinity Groups are larger gatherings of people who share something in common. These groups provide the opportunity for warm relational connections. They may meet once a month or once a quarter and are a place of practical encouragement and support. From sports and motorcycle groups to hearing impaired and M.O.M.S. groups—there are many opportunities to get connected on and off our campus.

Foundations of the Christian Faith
Christian Foundations - If you would like to understand the basics of Christianity or just solidify what you already know, come join us! Get a better understanding of what is meant by grace, salvation, spiritual disciplines and the Trinity. Learn about the attributes of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. 7 week class beginning Sunday June 20th at 11:30am in the Life Building.
Ladies Stretch & Tone
NEW CLASS BEGINS June 9th - This class uses stretching and light weights to tone, strengthen muscles, improve posture, and reduce stress. Exercise bands, which have been proven effective for flexibility workouts and will increase the core strength of the body, will be used also.
Ladies Self Defense
Learn the most effective ways to get away in a threatening situation while learning confidence and respect. Taught by a trained Tae-kwon-do instructor, you will also be immersed in martial art training.
A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place
Taken primarily from the Book of Exodus, A Woman s Heart: God's Dwelling Place by Beth Moore will take you on a fascinating journey into why God would chose to live in a wilderness tabernacle, made by human hands.
Spiritual Growth Assessment
God expects His followers to grow spiritually and His Word encourages personal examination as an element of growth.
