Welcome to Stonegate Odessa. We are so glad you decided to visit. Stonegate is a church that believes that Jesus transforms lives. We are all imperfect people who have been saved by grace and welcome you to be a part.
All of our campuses have a slightly different feel, but all our campuses work towards the same goal: to see people transformed by Jesus Christ.
It’s a good idea to arrive at least 20 minutes early. If you are checking in kids for the first time, block out 10 minutes to make sure you have time to register and check-in your children.
You’re invited to come as you are, whether it’s a suit or shorts you feel most comfortable wearing. Our member partners and attendees tend to dress pretty casual.
9:00 & 10:30 a.m.
Children may be checked in 15 minutes before the service starts. If you’re visiting for the first time, you will need to fill out a registration card to receive a key fob and security pick-up tags. You can fill one out digitally here, or at the checkin desk before service. The stickers serve two purposes:
If your child is ill, they should not be in SGKids. Here are some signs of sickness:
Wednesday | 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Come learn how to apply God’s word through worship, teaching and small group discussion.
In our 6th–12th grade ministry, we strive to create an environment that is the most welcoming place they will be in all week! We want to see students connect with one another, help them grow in their faith in Christ and influence the world for His name. Each week, students will have the opportunity to interact with friends from their school and leaders who care deeply for them. We teach from the Scriptures and help parents proclaim to their kids who God is and what He has done in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
SGY exists because Jesus completely transforms lives. Therefore, our mission is to point students to a transforming relationship with Jesus.
Next Steps is an introduction to Stonegate and is one of the best places for you to connect to this faith family. Topics in Next Steps include: understanding the gospel, partnering with the church, history of Stonegate, and how you can serve at Stonegate.
We believe that growth happens best in the context of community. At Stonegate, the best way to find healthy Christ-Centered community is through joining a group.
At Stonegate, the best way to find healthy Christ-Centered community is through joining a group.
Our small groups are made up of people from all stages and walks of life. These groups may look diverse from the outside, but they all have one thing in common; a deep desire to know Jesus more.
This class is on the fourth Sunday of most months and covers the biblical significance of baptism and our beliefs on the ordinance. This class is required for baptism at one of our Elements services.
We love and value our birth – kindergarten department. We see this area as a ministry, not simply childcare. We want this to be the best place your child comes to all week! We strive to love your child, create a fun atmosphere for them to play, pray for your child, teach them the Bible and share the good news of Jesus. Though they are in different developmental stages, we seek to accomplish these tasks through multiple, creative ways.
We continue to implement the same values in our 1st – 5th grade ministry. We want Stonegate Kids to be a blast for your child! Here, they get to experience activities and teaching that fit their age range. These areas also include music, singing, and an exciting gathering time as we teach them the Bible.
After the lessons, students participate in various crafts and activities to reinforce lessons from the Bible. As always, your child will be loved by our servant-leaders, have a lot of fun, be prayed for, and be taught the Bible in fun and creative ways.
You can be assured that every time we receive your child, we will love them, pray for them, and creatively share the Bible and Jesus’ good news. Above all, know that safety is our first concern for your child.
Servant-Leaders are required to be background checked, be members of Stonegate Fellowship, and have received training for their specific role.
As well, we have tight security ranging from our check in system to video monitoring. We look forward to meeting your child!
In the devotion to be intentional about walking with families, the Next-Generation ministry at Stonegate Fellowship has reinvented our dedication process. We are now dedicating families. Family Dedication, mainly geared towards the new addition to your family, is far more than committing them to the Lord. We are walking families through what it looks like to be part of the Stonegate family and raise your children to know the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord. This process is also a celebration of the people you have around you who are willing to walk with your family as you strive to recognize all you were designed, called and gifted to be. Stonegate Fellowship is just one part of that community of believers.
Things to keep in mind about what we require to dedicate families at Stonegate:
-Both parents (if applicable) are to be members of Stonegate.
-Both parents (if applicable) are asked to be available to attend orientation, celebration, and dedication.
Family Dedication is not a requirement for membership at Stonegate and is not any form or baptism or christening. This public commitment is a symbolic celebration of Stonegate Fellowship and the Next-Generation ministry walking with your family as you raise your child.
